Intuitive Malerei Gemälde "Santiago"

Diese intuitive Malerei entwickelte sich total anders, als die letzte. Ich habe ganz ähnlich angefangen, aber komplett anders geendet. Beim Malen habe ich wirklich gedacht "Woah, was ist denn jetzt los?". Es ist manchmal wirklich merkwürdig, wohin einen die Wege beim Malen führen.

This intuitive painting turned out totally different than the last one. I've started similar, but ended up totally different. While I was painting, I really thought "Woah, what is going on now?". It's really strange, sometimes, where the way leads you, while painting.

Ich glaube das einzige, was gleich ist, ist, das es auch ein Bild mit viel Textur geworden ist.

I think the only thing that is the same, is, that it is also a painting with lots of texture again.

 

Jetzt bin ich gespannt, was als nächstes kommt.

Ich habe ein neues Bild mit einem kleinen, blauen Buddha gemalt.

Ich habe es über dieses Bild, das ich irgendwann mal angefangen habe und an dem ich das Interesse verloren habe, drüber gemalt.

I have painted it over this painting, that I had started sometime ago and had lost interest.

Es fing ohne wirkliches Ziel an. Es ging nur darum, zu malen und zu gucken, was passiert. Und ich liebe es, wenn dann so ein schönes Bild daraus entsteht. Ich bin oftmals überrascht.

It started with no real goal. It was just to get some paint on it and see what happens. And I love it, when then the result is such a beautiful painting. I am often surprised.

Dann fehlte mir etwas blaues und ich dachte ein blauer Buddha wäre nett.

Then I was missing something blue and I thought, that a blue Buddha would be nice.

Dafür mußte dieses große Teil auf der rechten Seite dann aber verschwinden, weil ich nichts damit anzufangen wußte.

But instead this great thing on the right side had to disappear, because I didn't knew what to do with it.

Ich wünschte, ich könnte es Euch im Original zeigen. Es ist wirklich schön geworden.

I'd wish I could show you the original painting. It turned out really beautiful.

Gestern habe ich den ganzen Tag weggemalt. Außer mir war niemand zuhause und ich habe die Zeit genutzt. Ich hatte für das Bild nichts bestimmtes im Sinn, sondern wollte einfach nur endlich mal wieder die Finger in Farbe stecken. Ich habe ein altes, angefangenes, verlassenes Bild genommen

Yesterday, I painted all day long. Besides me, no one was at home, and so I took the chance. I had nothing specific for the painting in mind, but just wanted to finally put my fingers in paint again. I took an old, unfinished, abandoned painting

und habe einfach nur Farbe verteilt. Das war großartig.

and I just smeared some paint around. That was great.

Da ich nach langer Zeit aber noch nicht erkennen konnte, was das überhaupt werden soll,

But since I could not see for a long time, what it would be at all,

habe ich mich schon gefragt, warum ich die Zeit, die ich endlich habe, mit so etwas verplemper.

I was wondering why I waste my time, that I finally have, with it.

Ich habe gedacht, dass ich vielleicht gar nicht mehr malen kann. Kennt Ihr diese Achterbahnfahrt, die man manchmal beim Malen erlebt?

I thought, that maybe I can not paint anymore. Do you know this roller coaster ride, that one can sometimes experience while painting?

Ich wurde sehr frustriert, aber nachdem ich dann eine Pause gemacht habe und eine Stunde mit dem Hund durch die Felder gelaufen bin, habe ich dann gewußt, wo es lang geht.

I was very frustrated, but then, after I took a break and walked the dog an hour through the fields, I knew where to go with the painting.

Ich habe dann leider keine Fotos mehr gemacht, da ich zu tief in meinem Bild versunken war.

Unfortunately I have not made any more photos, because I was too deep involved in the painting process.

Jedenfalls war ich dann spät abends

Anyway, I was then, late in the evening,

 

sehr zufrieden mit meinem Bild.

Ich dachte, ich ende mit einem abstrakten Bild ohne ein Gesicht oder eine Figur. Das habe ich noch nie geschafft.

I thought, that I end up with an abstract painting without any face oder figure. I've never done that.

Ich dachte es wäre fertig, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten,

I thought, that it was finished, except for a few small things,

die ich am nächsten Tag machen wollte.

that i wanted to do the next day.

Seit Ihr noch da? Jetzt kommt, was ich eigentlich erzählen wollte.

Are you still there? Now comes, what I initially wanted to say.

Heute habe ich dann aber ein Foto von dem gemalten Bild gemacht. Manchmal halte ich ein Gemälde vor einen Spiegel und kann dann besser erkennen, was ich noch ändern möchte. Ich kann das nicht erklären, aber irgendwie ist die Sichtweise anders, als wenn ich es direkt betrachte. Manchmal mache ich aber auch ein Foto und schaue es mir auf dem Display der Digitalkamera an, um eine andere Sichtweise zu haben. So auch dieses Mal. Ich wollte ein Foto des Gemäldes machen und der FOTOAPPARAT hat sich mittels der automatischen Gesichtserkennung auf   PORTRAIT!!!   eingestellt.

But, today, I took a picture of the painting. Sometimes I hold a painting in front of a mirror and I can then better understand, what I want to change. I can not explain it, but somehow the view is different, than when I look at it directly. But sometimes I make a photo and look at it on the display of the digital camera to have a different view. So, this time I wanted to take a picture of the painting, and the CAMERA had adjusted itself through the automatic face recognition to   PORTRAIT!!!

Ich dachte "Wirklich, Fotoapparat?"

I thought "Really, camera?" 

 
aber es war tatsächlich da (hier habe ich es schon etwas rausgearbeitet). Ich war erst so aufgeregt deswegen, so dass ich es so lassen wollte, wie es ist, bin aber nun froh darüber, dass ich doch noch weiter daran gearbeitet habe.

but it was really there (here I have already worked it out a little bit). I was so excited about it, that I first considered to leave it as it is, but I am glad now, that I have worked more on it.

So etwas ist mir noch nicht passiert. Ich hatte gedacht, ich hätte ein rein abstraktes Bild.

Something like that had never happened to me before. I had thought, that I would have a purely abstract painting.

Ich fand das Bild vorher schon ziemlich gut, aber jetzt finde ich es natürlich noch viel interessanter.

I found the painting already pretty good before that, but now, of course, it is much more interesting for me.

Ich habe das Bild "Listen to what the wind is whispering" genannt.

I have titled the painting "Listen to what the wind is whispering".
