Ich habe auf Etsy noch keine Rabattfunktion gefunden, deshalb weiß ich noch nicht, ob ich es dort auch machen werde.

Die Kalender (und vielleicht noch die runden Kissen, von denen ich mich auch noch nicht trennen kann) werde ich aber natürlich weiterhin machen.

Leider ist mein Tag immer viel zu kurz. Ich habe ständig das Gefühl, dass die Zeit nur so fliegt.

Kalender 2013

Gestern habe ich die ersten Kalender für 2013 genäht. Es sind zwar noch 4 Monate bis zum nächsten Jahr, aber als Geschenk eignen sie sich auch jetzt schon, oder?

Yesterday I made the first calendars for 2013. There are still four months until the next year beginns, but as a gift they are already now thinkable, right?

Es hat mir Spaß gemacht, mal wieder Kalender zu machen. Es werden bestimmt demnächst noch viele weitere folgen.

It was nice for me to make calendars once again. There will certainly many more follow soon.

Neue Portemonnaies Größe M

Ich habe in letzter Zeit meinen Dawanda-Shop und meinen Etsy-Shop ziemlich vernachlässigt.  Sie sind beide im Moment so leer wie nie. Ich habe mir vorgenommen, sie mal wieder etwas zu füllen.

Als erstes habe ich ein paar Portemonnaies genäht.

Lately I have neglected my Dawanda- and my Etsy-Shop. Right now they're both as empty as never. I've made ​​up my mind to fill it again slightly.

First I made a few purses.

Sie sind von außen genauso wie meine Portemonnaies immer waren, aber von innen habe ich sie mal etwas anders gemacht.

They are from the outside just als always, but inside I have done something different.

Sie haben nämlich zwei schmale Fächer, ein etwas größeres und auch noch ein kleines Reißverschlußfach.  Ich habe sie Größe M genannt, denn die Portemonnaies, die ich sonst gemacht habe, wird es auch weiterhin als Größe S geben. Ich habe auch schon Größe L im Kopf, allerdings bisher nur dort.

Namely they have two small compartments, a slightly larger and also a small zipper compartment. I named them size M, because the purses that I have made usually, will be available as size S. I've also size L in my head, but so far only there.

Es folgen noch einige weitere in den nächsten Tagen.

Patchwork Tischsets

Ich habe gestern diese Patchwork Platzdeckchen angefangen zu nähen und konnte sie heute morgen fertig machen.

Yesterday, I started sewing this patchwork place mats and I could finish them this morning.

Wenn man so etwas noch nicht genäht hat, kann man sich vielleicht nicht vorstellen, dass es ungefähr zwei Stunden dauert, bis eins! davon fertig ist.

If you have not sewn anything like that, you can possibly not imagine, that it takes about two hours to finish one! of it.

Schön sind sie geworden, oder? Ich benutze solche Tischsets ganz viel, denn sie sind viel praktischer als Tischdecken. Sie sind ruck zuck gewaschen und gebügelt und können direkt wieder auf dem Tisch liegen.

They turned out beautifully, or what do you think? I use these placemats very much, because they are much more practical than tablecloths. They are washed and ironed and directly back on the table.

 

Diese sind ungefähr 42 x 32 cm groß. Ich habe vier Stück gemacht und von der Rückseite sehen sie so aus.

Ich habe mich entschlossen, sie selbst zu behalten, denn den Preis, den ich bei dem Zeitaufwand dran schreiben müßte, möchte bestimmt niemand dafür bezahlen. Sie liegen jetzt in meiner Küche und ich freue mich.

Patchwork-Nadelkissen

Gestern habe ich für mich ein Patchwork-Nadelkissen genäht und wie so oft, wenn mir etwas gefällt, mußte ich noch ein paar mehr machen. Ich habe sie außenrum etwas bestickt.

Yesterday, I had sewn a patchwork pincushion for me and as so often, when I like something, I had to make some more. I have embroidered the border.

Sie gefallen mir so gut, dass ich noch nicht aufhören kann. Ich denke, dass sie in meinen Dawanda-Shop wandern werden, denn was soll ich mit so vielen?

Patchworkdecken

Ich muß Euch jetzt endlich zeigen, warum ich in der letzten Woche so still war. Ich war sehr beschäftigt.

Finally I have to show you, why I was so quiet last week. I was very busy.

Ich habe seit langem mal wieder eine Patchworkdecke genäht. Sie ist ca. 1,34 m x 1,92 m groß.

 I have sewn a patchwork quilt. It is about 52,75 x 75,59 inch.

 

Ich habe für die Unterseite eierschalfarbenen, kuscheligen Fleece gewählt. Zwischen Ober- und Unterseite ist eine Lage Volumenvlies. Ich habe das Binding von Hand gemacht, weil es hinterher einfach schöner aussieht, als wenn es mit der Maschine gemacht ist. Das ist natürlich eine ziemliche Arbeit, aber es lohnt sich - wie ich finde - immer.

I chose for the underside eggshell-colored, fluffy fleece. Between top and bottom is a layer of batting. I made the binding by hand, because it looks so much better afterwards, as if it is done with the machine. This is of course quite a job, but it's worth - I think - always.

Und dazu passend habe ich noch ein Kissen genäht.

Es gibt definitiv noch Zeiten, in denen ich einfach etwas nähen muß. Aber jetzt möchte ich erst einmal wieder malen.

There are definitely still days, on which I have to sew something. But now I want to paint once again.

Out of focus - The beginning

Was ich eigentlich sagen wollte, ist, dass ich mich seit Weihnachten "out of focus" fühle. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich das sonst nennen soll. Ich fange alles mögliche an, kann mich auf nichts wirklich konzentrieren, weil ich noch tausend andere Dinge gleichzeitig machen möchte. Es geht im Moment drunter und drüber und ich fühle mich, als ob ich überlaufe.

What I really wanted to say is that I feel myself "out of focus" since Christmas.  I`m starting everything, I cannot really concentrate on anything, because I want to do a thousand other things at the same time. It feels as if I overflow at the moment.

Es fing glaube ich mit dieser Tasche an, die ich während der Weihnachtszeit gemacht habe.

I think it started with this bag, that I made during the Christmas season.

Eigentlich wollte ich eine kleine Tasche für meinen Fotoapparat machen, aber irgendwie ist mal wieder ganz was anderes draus geworden.

Actually, I wanted to make a small bag for my camera, but somehow again something totally different came out.

Sie hat rein gar nichts mit meinem Fotoapparat zu tun, aber sie gefällt mir sehr gut. Und sie ist fertig. Auch sehr wichtig.

It has absolutely nothing to do with my camera, but I like it very much. And it is finished. Also very important.

Ich denke, dass ich sie in den nächsten Tagen bei Dawanda oder Etsy einstellen werde. Ich brauche erst wieder ein paar Tage, bis ich mich trennen kann. Außerdem fällt es mir oftmals sehr schwer, einen Preis festzulegen. Bei dieser Tasche zum Beispiel habe ich gemalt, gefilzt, gestickt, genäht und gestrickt. Den Träger zu stricken dauert schon Stunden. Andersrum muß es ja auch irgendwie erschwinglich sein. Ich lege dann immer einfach irgendwann einen Preis fest, von dem ich denke, dass er bezahlbar ist und bei dem ich hoffe, dass ich nicht weinen muß, wenn das Teil verkauft wird.

I think I`ll offer it on Dawanda or Etsy within the next few days. I only need a few more days to seperate myself and I find it often very difficult, to set a price. In this case, for example, I have  painted, felted, embroidered, sewed and knitted. The carrier to knit lasts for hours. On the other hand it must be affordable, too. So, at some point I set a price, which I think is affordable and where I hope, that I must not cry, when the thing is sold.

Weihnachtsbasar 2011

So, der Weihnachtsbasar in der Schule meiner Tochter ist jetzt auch vorbei. Für alle, die nicht dabei sein konnten, hier ein paar Bilder von meinem Stand.
