I just wanted to say hello again. I still have no paint on my hands, but potting soil.
In diesem Jahr bin ich wohl zum Rosen-Fan mutiert. Mal sehen, ob das so bleibt. Rosen haben mich bisher NIE interessiert, aber jetzt habe ich noch weitere, wurzelnackte Rosen bestellt.
This year, I'm probably mutated to a rose-fan. Let's see if it stays that way. I have NEVER been interested in roses, but now I've ordered some more roses.
Eine davon habe ich in die Nähe des Zaunes gesetzt und damit sie eine Chance hat, anzuwachsen und unser Hund sie nicht sofort platt rennt, haben wir sie mit einem Kastanienzaun geschützt. Diese Staketen-Zäune fand ich schon immer so schön und nun habe ich endlich eine Verwendung dafür gefunden. Ich hoffe, dass er nicht so lange braucht, bis er grau wird. Ob er noch da stehen bleibt, wenn die Rose groß geworden ist?
I have placed one of the roses near the fence and so it has a chance to grow and our dog doesn't run it flat immediately, we have protected it with a chestnut fence. I always liked these fences and it's great, that I've finally found a use for it. I hope, that it doesn't take long, until it turns gray. If it will stay there, when the rose is grown up?
Habt Ihr eigentlich bemerkt, dass es jetzt schon wieder viel länger hell ist. Gestern war es schon fast sieben Uhr, als ich meine Sache im Garten weggepackt habe. Die Schildkröten habe ich nun auch ausgebuddelt. Ein halbes Jahr Winterschlaf muß doch nun wirklich reichen.
Have you actually noticed that it is now already much longer bright. Yesterday it was almost seven o'clock, when I put away my things in the garden. The turtles I have now dug out. Half a year hibernation must be really enough.
Es ist für mich ja jedesmal wie ein Wunder, wenn sie nach so langer Zeit, die sie unter der Erde eingebuddelt verbracht haben, noch leben.
For me, it is every time a miracle, when they are still alive after such a long time, that they have spent under the earth.
Jetzt sind sie noch in ihrem Frühbeet eingesperrt, aber damit sie bald auch wieder draußen rumlaufen können, muß jetzt der Zaun neu gemacht werden.
Now, they are still locked into their coldframe, but so that they can run around out there again soon, the fence must be re-done, now.
Wir hatten im letzten Jahr nämlich für den Gewächshausbau das Schildkrötengehege verkleinern müssen.
Last year, we had to reduce the tortoise-enclosure for the greenhouse-construction.
Nun wird es zur anderen Seite hin wieder vergrößert.
Now, it will be increased to the other side.
Habt Ihr es bei den Fotos oben bemerkt? Bestimmt nicht. Wir haben zwischendurch auch noch das Gewächshaus leer geräumt,

um die Steine zu fugen. Das war erst gar nicht geplant, gefällt uns so jetzt aber viel besser.

Und als die Fugen fertig waren, war dann auch sofort der Buchsbaum da, der "Pflanz mich, pflanz mich" geschrien hat.
And when the joint were finished, the boxwood was screaming "Plant me, plant me", immediately.
Die Töpfe stehen schon für die Tomatenpflanzen bereit.
The pots are already waiting for the tomato plants.
Und das nächste Vorhaben wird vielleicht dieses sein.
And the next project will probably be this one.
Die Steine, mit denen ich die Fensterbank machen möchte, sind nämlich gekommen.
The stones, with which I want to make the windowsill, have arrived.
